COUNTRY COUPLES
This is a lifestyle / documentary series examining the lives, music, and relationships of married couples in country music. Each 30-minute episode focuses on one couple. Country Couples examines the ups and downs, dating, romance, the honeymoon, parenting, the road, and trying to keep it together while in the public spotlight. This is a series about special relationships amidst the craziness of the music business.
We talk to each couple about their lives, the importance of music, and their relationship together. Stills, concert footage, family photos, and music videos support each interview. Interviews with friends and / or family members round out each episode. The series explores the interesting dynamic of highly public lives, lived together in private. Country Couples documents each couples’ struggles, successes, heartache, joy, music, and the strength of love.
Most of the interviews were filmed at the couples’ homes or their favorite place. Couples interviewed for past Country Couples episodes include Charlie and Emily Robison, Marty Stuart and Connie Smith, Lorie and Richie McDonald, Ricky Skaggs and Sharon White, Robin and Marty Roe, Michelle and Tracy Byrd, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis, Katt and Blake Shelton, and Kelly and Mark Wills.
